Journaling:
For my 23rd birthday, Dad brought home a treat for what he said was “a special occasion” — ice cream cake from DQ! I love that stuff. So, of course, I had to have a big piece.
Chosen criteria:
3. Use pop-dots to give 3-D dimension to an element of your page.
5. Use rubber or acrylic stamps somewhere on your page.
Techniques:
The cake images are actually scans from vintage recipe books. I edited them in Photoshop, first changing them to black and white, and then giving them a “clip art” kind of look by applying a filter. I printed them out on Kraft cardstock and then applied Mod Podge Dimensional Magic over them to give them a dimensional, glossy look. They are raised off the page with pop dots.
The Desire Metallic cardstock can be found on this page in the form of an oversized coin envelope, which I cut and made myself. The vintage spoon and a label appear to “spill” out of it. It makes a great backdrop for the photo/journaling collage! :)
The cute penguin enjoying ice cream was stamped directly on the vellum, which I folded in half and acts as a pocket for the photo of me and the title label.
