The title of a Brand New album. Something someone schizophrenic said. I have to wonder, was Joan of Arc schizophrenic too? That’s what I believe. It’s hard for me to say sometimes b/c so much expectation rides on it. But I know who I am and that is an Atheist. The absence of religion. No connotations. Just me.

 Chosen Criteria:

 1. Include at least one photograph of you (and only you).
 2. Journal about yourself (i.e., your quirks, something you would like to change, your hopes, disappointments, etc.)
 3. Use a traditional office supply on your layout.
 5. Use an old book or magazine page as part of your layout.

 Techniques:

Consider using only part of a stencil design instead of the whole thing. I used the very center of the largest stencil, my favorite part, and painted it twice on my layout, once in black and once in yellow (before going back and outlining it with more black). This allows you to see your stencils in new ways. The great part about the Plaid stencil packs is that they coordinate and make it easy to piece together your own design!

To mute the bright white of the book page I used, I coated it with a watered down layer of Vanilla Ice Cream paint, which also gives it a worn, slightly aged feel, and helps it to better blend in with the beautiful, vintage wallpaper background.

I made my own letter tiles and embellishments by stamping and printing on Really Red and Blue Ice cardstock. The tiles even “pop” a little more because I sealed them with Mod Podge Dimensional Magic. I applied the same stuff to some of the stenciled design as well, along with the stamped For the Luv of Art image (the tree).

Don’t be afraid to mix and match rub-ons by cutting them apart! The beauty of word rub-ons is that, with a little tweaking, they’re versatile enough to form other words better suited to your project. Use your stash! :)
