Journaling:
Feeding Time: Oreo is so happy to find fresh food & water in his bowl — & he’s so cute when he washes himself afterward. Naturally, I don’t mind making sure he has a belly full of goodness when it’s time to eat.
Scooping Time: The litter box is a necessary evil as far as I’m concerned… Kitties need it, but ew. Just ew. Luckily, having cats who like to run around outside means not having to scoop all the time…
Chosen Criteria:
1. Use at least 2 photos that represent your household tasks.
2. Use a paper-tearing technique somewhere in your page design.
Techniques:
To create the playfully distressed look seen on my background paper (kitty claw marks!), I simply poked small scissors through it and tore random, jagged lines. I adhered a scrap of Clove Felt cardstock behind the patterned paper, making sure it was big enough to cover all gashes, and then stitched a repetitive, stenciled damask design over both paper and cardstock.
The mass of thread is composed of scraps I collected with this kind of use in mind; it wasn’t until this layout that I pulled them all out, clumped them together, and followed my plan.
I layered the American Crafts stickers for a more personalized look.
